Kacy Church, MD
Dr. Kacy Church was born and raised in Honolulu and received her MD from the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu. She completed her internal medicine residency at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland before practicing as a general internist in the area for a year. While in medical school, she always knew that she wanted to pursue a career in endocrinology because she felt that the specialty allows for healthy changes through patient empowerment: Physicians provide the framework for diabetes care, but patients are ultimately the ones who must take action and follow the guidelines to improve their health. She completed her fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism in 2019 at Stanford University in California.
Dr. Church practices general endocrinology and has a strong interest in inpatient and outpatient diabetes management. During medical school she evaluated the use of cell phone technology in managing diabetes in pregnancy, and over the past several years she’s worked with multiple surgical and nonsurgical specialists treating diabetes to standardize inpatient diabetes care.
Dr. Church lives and works in the Bay Area with her husband and their first child, whom they welcomed in 2019. She loves to walk and listen to podcasts — now with a stroller in tow.
